Be Encouraged Inc serves the most vulnerable and marginalized people in our community. Our outreach program includes delivering hygiene, food, and above all, kindness to our unhoused neighbors with the goal of fostering hope through dignity and encouraging them towards stable housing.

Serve at City Net Shelters
City Net provides transitional tiny home shelter for men and women experiencing homelessness.
They currently have two shelters where we serve: one on Florin Road and one on East Parkway.
"The shelters are non-congregate sleeping cabins for people experiencing homelessness. They provide wraparound services like case management, meals, and rehousing assistance, aiming to transition residents to stable housing through a low-barrier entry system."
This service opportunity is perfect for relational individuals comfortable interacting with people in transition. Our goal is simple: to support the residents and build a community that bridges transitional and stable housing. We believe fully engaged volunteers will help us achieve this goal!

Join on us Every Wednesday for Direct Outreach into Unhoused Encampments
We currently serve up to 150 people with food and basic needs every Wednesday.
Potential volunteers must be able to walk up to 2 miles or stand for 2 hours.
Provide Food for Our Direct Outreach!
Every Wednesday for the last 3.5 years we have been committed to direct outreach in the River District. We deliver brown bag lunches, hot coffee, water, hygiene products and other basic necessities.
Our outreach program is dependent on donations. Donating the food for our program is volunteering!

Gospel and Goodies - Small Batch Community Outreach
The Gospel is central to all that we do and we've never met anyone who doesn't appreciate a beautiful baked good. This initiative combines these two things.
Join us for spirit driven community outreach in Sacramento. Sites will vary based on the locations of encampments and where the spirit sends us.
Sundays 11am to 1pm.
