Be Encouraged Inc is a Sacramento non-profit serving the most vulnerable and marginalized humans in our community. Our outreach program includes delivering hygiene, food, and above all, kindness to unhoused encampments and stay-safe shelters with the goal of encouraging people towards stable housing.

Join on us Every Wednesday for Direct Outreach into Unhoused Encampments
We currently serve up to 150 people with food and basic needs every Wednesday.
Potential volunteers must be able to walk up to 2 miles or stand for 2 hours.
Provide Food for Our Direct Outreach!
Every Wednesday for the last 3.5 years we have been committed to direct outreach in the River District. We deliver brown bag lunches, hot coffee, water, hygiene products and other basic necessities.
Our outreach program is dependent on donations. Donating the food for our program is volunteering!

Volunteer for Church on the Streets by Trackside Ministry
The Gospel is central to all that we do. That's why we are part of a team with Trackside Ministry that delivers church service every Sunday (on the same block as Wednesdays).

Volunteer for Our Shower Program
Be a part of the team that delivers showers, food and respite for our unhoused neighbors. Duties vary from set-up and breakdown to food service and shower stewards.
Volunteers serve on Mondays from 9am to 2pm.

Serve at City Net Shelter
City Net Shelter (2 separate locations) provides transitional shelter for men and women experiencing homelessness.
